SPINE
~ an initiation with Wild Wind ~
The spine of a feather in the Sky
holds itself together against the Wind
as it moves North then curves East.
How does it keep its shape up there?
The giant plume spreads for miles long and crosses the
Moon on its way to the mountains.
The spine.
My spine.
The air can move through it and lift it up
carry it across terrain and the Sky.
I want to be up there with the Clouds
whispering close to the Moon.

EAST
~ message ~
The Wind blows to the Southeast this night
taking billows of Clouds with Her.
The place where the Moon shines like a Rainbow where the Clouds pass
translucent water and mist.
Resting in quiet Wind I lean into the Pine Tree and look up
no one is out walking tonight.
“Look for water in the East, says the Wind.”
